Hybrid WFI System
CSI's hybrid WFI loop for storage & distribution.
About Hybrid WFI System
The Hybrid Water for Injection (WFI) System from CSI combines hot self-sanitizing loops at 158°F (70°C) or higher with ambient loops at 64 to 68°F (18 to 20°C), which can be periodically sanitized quickly, into a single, compact, and efficient design. Built for the biopharm industry modalities and drug production:
- Fermentation
- Cell culture
- Advanced therapy
- Medicinal products like cell and gene therapy
- Oligonucleotides
It offers a faster path to a robust, validated WFI system with reduced energy use and capital costs. Modular skids simplify installation and minimize building impact, and come with complete documentation and FAT support to ensure a smooth commissioning process. CSI WFI systems are trusted for environments where water quality has a direct impact on safety.
With CSI engineering and fabrication expertise, WFI systems are:
- Proven. Protected. Purpose-built.
- Designed to deliver hot WFI directly to your utilities and support services, including CIP and clean steam
- Equipped with a robust delivery loop for GMP critical points
- Able to minimize the risk of microbial growth
Ready to provide fast, effective sanitization to your ambient loop and point-of-use valves
Industries

Standard Loop Configurations
A CSI Hybrid WFI system includes storage vessel(s), heat exchangers, circulation loops, and engineered Point-of-Use (POU) panels designed for safe, robust delivery and safer sampling. Each POU station provides clean room access to WFI for process access, sampling, and flushing. Point-of-Use stations have localized access to WFI where it’s needed, with flexible process parameters and hands-free automated sanitization. With our system, we reduce the manpower required for sanitization and sampling.
