Safety and Community

CSI is committed to providing a safe and positive work environment for our employees.

At Central States Industrial (CSI), we not only take care of our employees, but also give back to the community. From promoting safety in everyday activities to recycling and supporting charities, we encourage employees to participate in company-wide and community programs. CSI also partners with local high schools and colleges to introduce students to the stainless steel industry.

Training and Certifications

CSI is committed to providing a clean and safe place to work, no matter where you are: office, shop, or field. We are OSHA SHARP certified and conduct regular safety training, safety audits, behavioral safety observations, hazard reporting, and weekly safety talks.

Safety Committee

Because safety should be in the foreground of every employee's thoughts, CSI's Safety Committee is made up of employees representing departments ranging from Accounting to Warehouse to Field. The committee's team members perform audits, make safety improvement recommendations, and serve as emergency and shelter team leaders.

Community Involvement

At CSI, giving back to the community is important. We promote paper, cardboard, and plastic recycling with employee recycling drop off stations. To encourage career paths in the stainless steel industry, such as engineering, welding, and drafting and design, CSI participates in programs that partner with local colleges and high schools. We contribute both resources and labor to charities and organizations that support the Springfield community.
