Almatec E Series Diaphragm Pumps

The E Series diaphragm pumps from Almatec represent the newest generation of plastic, air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pumps made in solid design. The E Series is interchangeable with it's predecessor—the A Series—but with more enhancements.

The innovative ring-tightening structure of the E Series provides more safety for the pump. Almatec has also increased the pump's capacity, reduced air consumption, optimized flow patterns, and reduced the noise level. The E Series has a pulsation damper suitable for flange connection that allows for simple, direct installation.

Applications

Almanac's E Series diaphragm pumps are designed for liquid and slurry transfer in chemical process applications.

Basic Design

Commonly, the housing parts are tightened to each other via housing bolts. However, instead of single bolts pressing punctually against the housing, all housing bolts are now tightened against a diaphragm-sized ring per side. This structure results in a more even spreading the housing bolt force and an increased permissible bolt torque—an increased pump safety which is assisted by further improvements of construction details.

The flow resistance is reduced via an optimized flow pattern to increase the efficiency factor of the pump. Compared to the A Series, the same air flow achieves a higher fluid flow, respectively less air flow is required from the same fluid flow. The pumps are proofed against dry running and overloading, and they are self-priming and insensitive to solids.

The pulsation damper can be directly installed on top of the pump. An additional version with flange connection is available.
