About Hygienic Stainless Steel Tubing

Stainless steel tubing is an important component of liquid processing systems. This accessory transports beverages and other fluids from one place to another without corroding or contaminating your product. Our stainless steel tubing is easy to dismantle and clean.

Sanitary Tubing Materials That Last

At CSI, we research the quality of each product so you don't have to. That is why we only stock tubing made out of the highest-quality alloys. If your tubing must withstand high acidity or high purity applications, choosing our long-lasting piping will prevent replacement downtime for your equipment.

Applications for 304 Stainless Steel Tubing

Our tubing made out of 304 stainless steel best suits industries like the dairy, brewery, and food-processing industries. Although this material is best known for its durability and resistance to corrosion, it is susceptible to damage from acidic material and highly concentrated saline.

Applications for 316L Stainless Steel Tubing

We recommend 316L stainless steel tubing for the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. This material includes molybdenum, making it extremely resistant to corrosion.

Applications for Superalloys

Alloy tubing best suits highly corrosive environments. These high-quality parts tend to cost more, however, they last longer than 304 stainless steel in most cases. They are known to save on replacement costs, maintenance costs, and downtime, especially if your facility works with highly-acidic products.

What Makes Tubing Sanitary? - Understanding Roughness Average (Ra)

All of our stainless steel tubes maintain a superior Roughness Average (Ra). Ra is a standardized method of measurement. Profilometers are commonly used to measure the peaks and valleys of a surface texture in a given length. The averaging the these peaks and valleys are mathematically calculated, values are typically displayed in units of Micro Inches or “µin” .

Effects of Stainless Steel Tubing Size

We carry a wide variety of tubing sizes ranging from ½ inch – 8 inches that fit on nearly any system. Tubing size affects flow rate and temperature control. For example, long standard round tubing with a large diameter allows for a faster flow rate, but less temperature control.

When replacing tubing, order the size that fits in your existing fittings. Changing the piping size can alter your system's flow rate and temperature control.
