CSI VP of Manufacturing Bryan Billmyer Named Senior Business Development Leader

Bryan Billmyer

December 13, 2019 Springfield, Missouri — Central States Industrial Equipment and Service, Inc. (CSI) is proud to announce Bryan Billmyer as Senior Business Development Leader specializing in Fabrication. In his new role, Billmyer will leverage his design and manufacturing expertise to create value-added solutions for customers’ fabricated process equipment needs.

“As someone who knows the hygienic process industry inside and out, Billmyer brings a wealth of experience and problem-solving expertise to hygienic processing of all scopes and scales,” said Director of Business Development, Matthew McColgin.

In his twenty-four years at CSI, Billmyer first served as a drafting intern while still in college. Soon after he was promoted to Supervisor of the Design/Estimating Department taking on mechanical drafting/design, construction detailing, cost estimating, project management, and customer service functions. After several more years of experience, CSI promoted him to Manager of the Design/Estimating Department. Starting in 2008, Billmyer served as VP of Manufacturing at CSI.

“This is a natural transition for Billmyer to serve as Senior Business Development leader,” said McColgin, “because it’s a position where he can continue delivering customer-focused OEM solutions for transfer panels, utility panels, skids, custom fittings, valve manifolds -- and the entire complement of CSI manufacturing capabilities.”

Billmyer recognizes customers’ unique fabrication needs and is able to translate them into customer valued solutions. “I prefer fabrication to manufacturing because meeting client processing needs so often demands attention to equipment fabrication over manufacturing. That’s why I call myself a fabricationologist,” said Billmyer.

While at CSI, Billmyer has developed several product designs, including several U.S. Patents.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Drafting & Design Technology with a technical emphasis in metals from Missouri State University. During college, Billmyer also received accreditation as a Certified Designer from the American Drafting & Design Association.

Over the course of his career, Billmyer served the processing industry through memberships in the American Drafting & Design Association, the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers, Society of Piping Engineers & Designers, Society of Manufacturing Engineers, the Association for Operations Management, and American Society of Mechanical Engineers, specifically the Bio-Processing Equipment (BPE) Standards Committee. He is currently the Chair of the Dimensions & Tolerances (DT) sub-committee, Vice-Chair of the Certification (CR) sub-committee, and a member of the Executive and Main/Standards committee.

Billmyer enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two teenage daughters. His personal hobbies include being an apprentice woodworker and an easy-going golfer.
