CSI Selected for Exclusive Trade Show
Central States Industrial’s (CSI’s) engineering team flew to Atlanta, Georgia to participate in an exclusive trade show hosted by Rockwell Automation. Many of the companies featured focused on instrumentation, panel equipment, motion control, systems integration, or robotics. In contrast, CSI is one of the only Rockwell partners that manufacture sanitary fluid processing equipment.
CSI’s alliance with Rockwell was formed through the development of a standardized control package, CIP 2.0. CIP 2.0 is an easy to use clean-in-place (CIP) software that allows users to automate, verify, and record their cleaning processes in compliance with the requirements of the Food Safety Modernization Act. “The success of the endeavor allowed us to become partners,” said Bryan Downer, Vice President of Product Management. “As a Rockwell Partner, CSI has access to resources we would not otherwise as an integrator or user. This show is an example of the resources our partnership with Rockwell has made available to us,” said Bryan.
CSI was chosen to present at several technical sessions to promote clean and effective processing facilities. Every chance to meet new people and share expertise was embraced. Eric Buchanan, Process Engineer, said the automation fair was a good step toward establishing meaningful relationships with others in the industry. Bryan said, “We had a lot of genuine interest from established clients outside of the United States.” “The international presence was quite a bit higher than expected,” added Eric.
Kyle Thompson, Associate Process Engineer said, “I went expecting conversation with end users but there were a lot of opportunities for partnerships. A main benefit was getting exposure to an entirely new subset of people who are committed to fully automating plants.” As a corporate partner, CSI and Rockwell are better able to work together to develop control solutions, like CIP 2.0, that are easily integrated into Rockwell facilities and partner equipment.
